7. Ah, that takes me back to when I was a kid in San Francisco,

in the 60's. I had a girlfriend, and we lived near the cable cars, so we would take the cable car down, and have ice cream at Ghirardellis. Then walk along that ocean park where the cars turn around. We found a bag of weed. She asked me what we would do with it. I threw it as hard as I could into the bay. It landed about 3 feet out on the rocks.
We walked about 10 feet and some hippie came along and said, hey man, do you have any pot?
Oh, we thought it was funny.

16. My friends and I were at a concert once and the town drug dealer was sitting in front of us.

He dropped the biggest bag of weed I had ever seen and one of my friends quickly grabbed it.

The dealer left, and I think we tried to smoke the whole thing in one night...

18. New Year's Day 1997

went to get some money at the ATM to get beer for football watching.

I look down by a streetlight and there it was

I look around. No one is out yet.

So being that it was right next to a kids' park I did the civic thing and picked it up.

Just then a cop car turns around the corner. Swear to god. It was already in my pocket.

Car pulls up and...... the cop asks ME for directions. Must have been a new guy pulling New Year's Day duty. I told him how to get to where he was going and he drove off. I started breathing a few minutes later. Luckily I got some beer to calm my nerves when I got home.

A coworker of mine once related the story of how he found, behind a large rock in a fairly densely populated area, a small fortune of cocaine. 'Twas in a bag with a scale and some accessories, presumably packaging material. He left it right where he found it, thinking - perhaps wisely - that whoever left it there might be watching and would almost certainly return. He went off on his merry, and later rethinking it went back, to find the bag was gone.

He said he kicked himself for it repeatedly, as he now thinks it was probably about an ounce - thousands of dollars worth of white powder. He knew people who would quickly compensate him for his find, and he probably could have just taken it, and gotten a lucky "score".

That "probably" is all the difference for me. I think he was smart to leave it, assuming he didn't want to call the cops (coke being much more dangerous than pot, I think I would have turned it in, reporting where I found it, but I'm very liberal and I try to be a good citizen). Could have even been a plant by the cops to try to work their way into the local drug trade.

22. I was working in a food court

and I picked up a jacket that had a BIG baggie of coke in the side pocket along with a mirror. (at least they were not smoking or banging)I put it in my locker and waited to see what would happen. The two guys came back wanting their jacket back. I told them "no",shook my head, and they made a hasty exit.

I then panicked and turned it in to security. I'm a wuss, I know.

23. I walk a lot and I find drugs and money sometimes

Not very often,but maybe once a year or so. I have found weed,special K,coke (two seperate occasions) and a hundred dollar bill once. I was witnessing a drug deal in the park where I used to live and I saw the guy drop the bill. So after the deal was over I went and checked it out.

I have lost things too, so it balances out.
