After watching the last episode of The Tudors, and all the fun they had barbecuing heretics (Prots or Catholics, depending on the monarch) at the stake, I would say "NO".
John Calvin barbecued Michael Servetus, the first Unitarian and a great physician, in Geneva.

Had a great church luncheon yesterday afternoon with a lot of friends and fellowship, so yeah-- it's fun for me.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I imagine there are many people who will.

5. Also, the often-cited commandment uses the word LORD in all caps. |
|
For Biblical purposes, the word LORD in all caps is an English translation for all of the numerous Old Testament names for the god of Israel. That includes Yahweh, Tetragrammaton, El Shaddai, Eloi, Jehovah.
So, that commandment does not apply to Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost or arguably even God the Father since that concect seems to be a NT creation. Arguably, it does not apply to the generic term "god" even if it is spelled with a capital "G" since that is rather a description more than a name.

The only book I've read in which Jesus is routinely referred to as "Josh."
