What radio station is set on your Clock Alarm Radio?
Actually I have 2 morning alarms - one with radio and the other with an alarm. If the 2nd goes off I better get my ass out of bed if I want to make it in time.

My morning radio station is 102.9 WMGK Philadelphia with legendary DJ John DeBella. I like my classic rock in the morning.

Every once in awhile I do get a kick for 88.5 WXPN from University of Pennsylvania. I think I might switch there for awhile. Usually when they have fundraisers I switch back.

2. KYSR 98.7 in Los Angeles.
It's considered an alternative rock station. I like to wake up to music -- not talk radio. I do the exact same thing as you do.... I also have another alarm set for 5 minutes before I'm supposed to actually leave my house. I hate mornings. :donut:

4. That's a damn good station
I was listening to that for hours while I was out in the L.A. area and I rarely heard a song that I didn't like. I haven't run across too many stations like that.

3. I've got mine set to a local C & W station. When it goes off in the morning
I'm not tempted to just lay there in bed and listen to the tunes. I *will* get up and turn that stuff off immediately.

6. Oooo I should put a radio with a right-wing talk station somewhere on the other side of the room
that would get me out of bed right away! Just so I can find a baseball bat and beat the bejesus out of the radio.

7. WGAM-AM
Sports station in Manchester. I don't care for the morning programming (ESPN crap), but since I often listen to the Red Sox at night, that's where the dial stays.

8. Some country & western crap the Mrs. listens to
I try not to listen.

At least she changed it from the station that had some moron screaming, "It's 6 O'clock in Texas!" Right as the alarm came on.

You don't know how badly I wanted to call that station and ask, "Hey, Dr. Einstein, what time is it in Oklahoma?"

11. Wingnut talk radio
It's always a race to hit the snooze button and it gets me out of bed so I don't have to listen to that shit go off more than once or twice.

I used to do the same thing with Mariachi music, but then I got so I didn't mind laying in bed listening to it. That ain't gonna happen with wingnut radio.

13. Don't need an alarm clock
I know my body will wake up somewhere between 3am and 5am. I have not used an alarm in ages but I'm retired. I go to bed listening to old time radio.

Last year February I was asked to return to my old job after 5 yrs retirement. It was almost an hour drive to my job but managed to wake up at my usual time without a clock or radio alarm.

I guess after over 30 years rising at the same time bodies become their own clock. No way could I sleep late.

14. Sigh. Not me. Been working 40 years, and before that there was school.
And to this day, if you leave me to my own sleep pattern, I will not be up before 9 or 10 AM. Can't wait to retire!

22. I listen to local Philadelphia NPR..
Which means I drift into consciousness hearing British newscasters, since WHYY runs BBC news in the early mornings. Or I'll switch to the classical station which runs jazz on one of its channels and classical on the other one. So sometimes I wake up with Nina Simone and at other times, it's Mozart. I love my HD radio for all the choices it gives me..

27. AM 1090

Though the AM reception here is appalling, so I usually just wake up to static and noise :evilfrown:

I used to have it on the classic rock FM station KZOK. But that got drowned out by a shitty fucking Clear Channel country station. And if I wake up to country music, I'll be in jail by lunch time for killing somebody. :argh:

28. What is this Clock Alarm Radio you speak of?
My blackberry seems to work just fine as an alarm.

However I do have something called a wifi alarm clock radio. Usually I set it at night on streaming something and then the alarm turns the darned thing off... and it's not a buzz buzz buzz - it's a frigging annoying tune that you GOT to get and turn off. Or if you're darned lazy hit that snooze button...

SO it's night radio for me - good number of choices, usually a toss up between any of the BBC talk stations (World Service News, Radio 4, BBC 7), though I've been listening to a fair bit of sky.fm's New Age channel... mostly calming music to help me sleep. Though it irritates the heck out of my wife!

One morning the radio was playing Elvis singing a lullaby early in the morning. I woke then started to drift off again. I went back to a basic beep-beeping.
