Walked three blocks to the library today and was SOAKED in sweat (but dried off almost
immediately).

Supposed to be 105 tomorrow, but down to 95 over the weekend with scattered t'storms.

2. Eh. We got into the 70's - MAYBE
All I know is that 4:00 p.m. I was still warming my hands with tea so I could type.

I know it sounds pleasant to everyone suffering in heat waves, because I've lived through them, too. But it's equally unpleasant to be so cold in August you have to either turn on the heat or put on a sleeping bag to watch TV at night! (I'm in Seattle).

I hope your heat breaks and we get some of it.

3. North Oklahoma: Air temp 104, heat index 112
5th day in a row w/air temps >100. We had been drying out, dew points in high 60s in AM, so not so humid. But we just had a shower so it will be off the scale tomorrow. I've become obsessed w/dew point readings, as they indicate the relative humidity. We've had days this summer when temp at 6AM was 80, dew point 79. Pretty much totally saturated, wringing wet weather.

5. Heat index got up to 115 yesterday, actual temp of 105.
Today hasn't been quite that bad... still over 100 though.

I just read an article that said the actual temperature on the tarmac at Little Rock National was 130.

Funny but the summer has been pretty cool this year. I think it was about 88 or so today.
