2. I have high ambitions, low attainment.
I tend to aim high but change focuses and move quickly to the next thing. I have huge ambitions but I have a lot of them and an almost-ADHD lack of focus.

3. My only current ambition is to retire before I'm too decrepit to enjoy it.
Hanging in there.....

4. spirits high, ambitions low
I believe in having goals and dreams (realistic and otherwise) but I feel that people need to balance them with the fact that things seldom work out the way you imagined, and that it can be a good thing. Forever living in the future (or the past) to the point of ignoring the present seems like madness to me.

5. I didn't have any.
I spent most of my time on Talos IV.

6. Too high sometimes
I've been trying to learn to sing, but I sound like crap. I sing in tune, but that's all I've got going for me.

My speaking voice is odd-sounding too. Once, when I saw a doctor I'd never been to before about a stomach ache, he asked me to repeat everything I'd told him. He said he'd been so intrigued by my voice that he hadn't paid attention to what I was saying.
