6. German Shepards are great dogs
Hard working, loyal, and very smart; but wow, do they shed alot! I'm not so sure Tobin would want all that fur everywhere in his new truck. And he definitely would have to get one past the 'puppy stage'.

But otherwise I'd recommend a GS to him for the road (as they are very adaptable) had he not said something about wanting a small to medium sized dog.
