Poll question: Do you listen to movie/tv show soundtracks? |

You know, the music they use to put behind dialogue to add emotion to a scene? Along with credits music?

Most soundtracks don't interest me. It's a hard question to answer though bk I've listen to music that just so happens to have been featured in movies. But I never listen to a soundtrack just to listen to the music of a particular movie.

I'm the exact opposite of most people.
I have to strain to get the lyrics because my brain focuses almost exclusively on the instrumental stuff. Lyrics are nothing more than background noise for me.
Soundtracks tend to be almost entirely instrumental. Among those I have:
Pearl Harbor, all LOTR, The Hunt for Red October, various Star Wars tracks, Mortal Kombat, Titanic, Last Samurai, and a mix of various war themes that someone gave me (not that I support war, but that one is really good for keeping me awake).

The Star Wars soundtrack was one of the first albums I owned, and so many more afterwards. My mom & dad, in their separate collections, had a lot of pretty interesting ones from the late 50's and 60's.
Yellow Submarine is popular at my house now. =)

and when I play them in my car, people who say they hate soundtracks always want the CD. Currently listening to "Bend it Like Beckham".
