Another reason to love the Prius!
Car thieves don't like them! :-)

Even more motivation not to buy gas-gulping, big-honkin' SUV's just pulled into the next parking spot: These cars are more likely to get stolen!

A new report from the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) shows that rappers from Jay Z to Lil' Wayne would be better off rollin' in their Prius than the Escalades they typically lavish with lyrics. As the number one most stolen car in the U.S. (one in every 100), the Escalade might soon be Cadil-lackin' from their collections.

Apparently "sedate family cars and fuel sippers aren't on the hot list," says Kim Hazelbaker, HLDI senior VP. "Thieves are after chrome, horsepower, and HEMIs."

The iconically efficient Toyota Prius pretty much never gets lifted, the report said. Can you imagine Grand Theft Auto: Hybrid Edition? Yeah, me neither.

Looks like yet another reason for Prius owners to be smug.
