It's their own damn fault if they can't get the technology right.
They've only had, what, 30 fucking years to work on it by now.
I don't miss a step.

2. Most of the time they don't notice. Other times they just wave me on. |
|
The only time I keep going is after I stop and nobody seems to notice or care.

You never know when some off-duty rent-a-cop is going to draw down on you if you keep walking.

7. You carry an iPhone or iTouch? Only time I've ever had one go off w/me |
|
is when I had my iTouch (and my daughter's iPhone seemed to set them off a couple of times, too). Aside from that - the store clerk/salesperson forgot to remove the anti-theft device which is supposed to set the thing off....
I always stop, because I don't steal and don't want to complicate my life by appearing furtive or avoidant by ignoring an alarm I inadvertently set off... :) Even though I'm not crazy about the idea of someone potentially going through my personal belongings I have on me.
Going through my shopping bags and purchased items - have at it.
But my purse contains some wacky (but harmless, innocent and fully legal) things sometimes... like a carved loon my daughter gave me... or some cool rocks I found and forgot to take them out... or a bottle of Tabasco (don't leave home without one!). : )

...the alarm at Target, and no other store. Annoying as hell, it was.
