1. It involves a singularity and I doubt your cat would survive. nt

2. Oh, well, I certainly don't want that. Even though, I believe we will all return to the singularity

that spawned all that we know to be real.

3. Actually, I've been thinking about that, and I don't think that's the case.
It's very difficult to explain what my mind is working towards. Every time I try to explain it, it looks crazy. But I think heat death is the final stage of our universe.

Good luck with the cat, though. You might buy the cat a robotic mouse with laser eyes, which the cat could then feel terrific about catching. I think I saw it on Tom & Jerry.

5. Maybe
Maybe it is crazy. Still doesn't mean it isn't real.

I've just always felt that the truth, the ultimate truth, is but a singularity. As we come to see that the laws we define, laws of physics, laws of all that is, transcend our meager categories, they point toward some overruling law. Some overruling reality. Like a drop into an ocean, from whence we came so shall we return. And all that is in between is but an expanse of that. A math problem simplified to it's one true answer. And that answer further simplified beyond our current capabilities. Until it points us toward what we already know on some deep level. We, and all we have come to learn about ourselves and this reality, are but a momentary expression of all that is, and of which we are at once all of and a part of. We are but a drop splashed onto some shore, trickling back to the ocean from which we came. The ultimate and only true existence.

Who sounds crazy now?

Anyway, I'll look into the laser-eyed mouse. Can't really go wrong with Tom and Jerry.

:)

6. I actually did that once
I switched it off just as she pounced. She stood there frozen, looked around and then carefully lifted and looked under each paw. Cats are amusing.

Another thing I do is make it look like the dot went into a heating duct. She will camp out for an hour waiting. Then when she starts to fall asleep I bring it back.

I'm probably developing a neurotic cat.
