Wouldn't it be nice if you could clone yourself... |
|
. . . . . . . . . . . ... so you could have someone who GETS you... someone who feels JUST like you do? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

4. My clone could go to work for me. |
|
Another clone could do all the work around the house. Then another clone could deal with all my nit wit relatives. But then I would need a bigger house to put them and would need another clone to work a second job to afford it and..........:eyes:

5. I heard about a guy who did that once |
|
He was a successful businessman, but just didn't have enough hours in the day to make more money. Realizing that time is money he had himself cloned so he could double his workload.
It didn't turn out too well. His clone had one minor defect: His language was foul! Every other word was the "f" bomb. Eventually, this behavior cost business deals, relationships, etc. Something had to be done!
Late one night, as the clone was standing outside on their 40th story penthouse balcony, the man quietly positioned himself behind the clone, and in one lightning fast move threw the clone over the railing. Problem solved.
Unfortunately, the police showed up and promptly arrested the man.
The charge? Making an obscene clone fall.

It is an offshoot of multidimensional toy doctrine.
Thought about writing that, but it is a despair doctrine.
I like slider doctrine more, where you move between copies, and dependent on your interactions with people, sometimes you speak to the person, sometimes to a copy.
That is a better story. Might write that some day also.
Note copy doctrine also has an assumed superiority of original, a flaw.
Also multidimensional can lead to nothing right and wrong without multiple copies of exact same parallels, allowing for more of one decision then another, many think of multiple dimensions as only one of each state, it makes more sense in infinite parallels to have many exact same to create a proportion of more good then bad. If there was only one dimension for each possibility then any choice would be the same as any other, but by having many copies of the same dimension better and worse choices reenters multidimensional totality of good and bad. Since if one dimension for each state exist, then if you choose good, then a counterpart would choose bad, making no difference in totality of choice, however with multiple copies, some number below infinite could chose good, that is more then the number choosing bad, making for totality to be able to move to good over time.
Although just a story idea, and not what I believe.

Not quite the same, but your story idea really reminded me of that.

12. LOL! It's great to see you back MFM!!! |

Missed you. Alot! :pals:
You know, I used to honestly think about the cloning of myself in the 90's when I worked in a shoe factory on a 'team incentive' pay basis. Prior to that, I had done the same type of work (piece-work) and made a decent living at it, but found myself working harder and longer for MUCH less $ on this new 'team concept' thing.
I'm not blaming anyone but the company... they chose to put the most efficient with the new trainees, poorly motivated, or to-old-to-handle-this-crap ladies into groups of 5 and made us all take the same pay based on how we performed as a 'team'... needless to say, there were issues.
Anyway, as i labored away into 50 and 60 hour work weeks, much of the time making less then I had on piece-work in 35 or less, I'd think about how much $ I'd make if all my teammates were a cloned version of me...
Until I realized...OMG, we'd probably all intensely dislike each other to the point of...:nuke: (lol! :yoiks:)
