My tribute to RandomThoughts
I was going to say he really didn't mean it. The boxers are already full anyway. But when I went there they said I'm not worthy. Then the Coke took another turn and ran out on the ground. Why is this important? The president said we were going to Algeria. I just wanted to know how it went back home.

Then again, the avocados were ripe. Sensing that he had nowhere to go, he went. I have nothing else to say.

I was hoping that I could get some lemon pie, but Macy's was closed. What is it with car dealerships anyway? They want you to know and then they don't tell you. How many trucks can Tobin possibly drive anyway? Sure, it means nothing, but I can't say for sure. Everybody has to make their way to the big creek whether they know it or not. I'm going home to watch the baseball game at the stadium. I think I'll have an O'Douls and a shot of jack.

Whispering gently I wondered how it could have been. She took the time and went quickly down the hall. I must say, though, it meant nothing to me.

3. RandomThoughts is awesome.
He is an offshoot of the multidimensional toy doctrine.

Although I like Sheldon Cooper's doctrine more, where you move between copies, and dependent on your interactions with people, sometimes you play "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock" with the person, sometimes with a copy.

That sounds like a good story. Might write that some day also.

Don't forget, Kirk only works in outer space, he was born in Iowa. So, I take that, change the state, keep the city, and drink at the alphabet bar minus the a, just a little under the pool table.

Love to play pool, stop in for a drink, I need a few dollars and will be out drinking beer when it arrives :) Khaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn!!

Just a story idea--not what I believe.

5. Random Thoughts doesn't know it (yet), but I adore him.
He makes more sense than about 99 percent of what I see in the Lounge, and he's NEVER mean-spirited. I :loveya:, Random Thoughts!

7. I suspect he has lots of fans
It's just that nobody had figured out a way to tell him. :)

I like his sig line, but I want to know who that guy is in there and he won't tell me.

10. Yes the picture is from that episode of Twilight zone
Edited on Tue Aug-24-10 02:27 PM by RandomThoughts
Entire episode here.
http://www.tv.com/video/6963/the-twilight-zone--the-obsolete-man

I heard the man was pretty nice in real life from a poster also.

Note that forms of government take many shapes, public, private, theocratic, anything that sets social rules.

Question: did the episode show what happened to him when in the room, after letting out the other guy?

What happened to Wordsworth after he let that guy out? They didn't show that, people make assumptions about what happened to him.

Interesting thought on the concept.

16. So the Librarian was a ruse?
To determine if the Chancellor was still needed or obsolete?

Intriguing....

I didn't check the runtime when I posted that particular link.

Look at the link from post #10.

14. What happened to whom?
They showed the bomb going off, so presumably the Librarian died.

And then everyone started clawing at the Chancellor, so presumably he also bought it.

Wordsworth the Librarian, was he in the room when the bomb went off?

20. I assume so.
But the possibility of him not being there is interesting.

Although it would mean he was working with the State, wouldn't it? Not that that's impossible, but it gives the story a different flavor.

27. Awesome episode.
I was so disappointed this July 4th to see that there would be no Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci-Fi channel this year. That's one of my favorite episodes, but I never made the connection until just now.

Another humble fan of yours.

11. A tribute implies feelings of respect and affection.
There are those who would deprive us of beer and smokes. They don't deserve tribute.

A tribute to RandomThoughts is well deserved though, for he, though often is without beer and smokes, is not the cause of other people's lack of the same.

without mention of beer and smokes. Prisoner, though he/she may to those substances be, but of formal pattern trapped thought, certainly not.

29. He made me dig into my old Philosophy books,
and while I still lack understanding his questions sometimes, or most of the times to be honest, I'm with Heidi here: He always is gentle and nice. So that's a big, big, big, big plus in my book.

I don't click on the AC/DC-youtube-links, though. ;)

Edited on Tue Aug-24-10 05:00 PM by RandomThoughts
When I finally get the beer and financing, I plan to visit some museums and read up on some philosophy, most of the philosophy I get is what is also in many stories told in many places.

Havn't really read much philosophical stuff, but figure I will some day.

There is actually much philosophy behind many scifi stories also though.

The links to the clips are really great sometimes. Fun stuff :) Although not the reason nor method to get beer financing, doesn't work for that stuff.
