Fucking politics, how do they work?

A bunch of people I know, some of whom don't even live in my city, are supporting a certain city council candidate because he's pro-Israel.

Regardless of your opinion of Israel/Palestine, they seem to have missed the memo that municipal politics has nothing to do with middle east policy.

Who can imagine why anyone would support a local candidate for a foreign policy stance! But it happens all the time. Listen to some of the debates and you just go "huh?"

2. When my son ran for city council, four people called him and

asked if he was pro-life. Did they think that the city council decided whether or not abortion should be legal?
