Local forcasts here predicting ANOTHER heat wave starting Monday
through most of next week. This will be heat wave #8 in Philly - so far...It was cool the last few days, but will increase to the 90's again next week.

I hava had enough now, and I'm not going to take any more, I'm warning you...

1. It always seems to be the most maddening the closer it gets to true relief.
.
.
.
I lived in the Philly area for 20 years (West Chester) and
know that the hot, HUMID summers just never, EVER leave...
.
.
.
.
.
.
...but they do.
.
.
They really do.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You may have a few weeks left -- worst-case scenario
a month... but then beautiful.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Arizona's the same way -- except when we turn beautiful
in the near future, we will STAY beautiful until June
or so.
.
.
January/February temps may be 30 degrees at night, but
climb to breezy 70 degree t-shirt weather during the day.
.

2. We had a great, long fall last year - sweatshirts till December - I'm hoping for
the same this year.

But we have already had the wood stove tuned up for winter...

3. For a while, I lived in a platonic situation with two female co-workers...
.
.
.
.
.
...in a 3-story, 3-bedroom condo.
.
.
.
Fireplace on the first floor (just one GIANTIMUNDOUS
living room).
.
.
.
Most of the winter, we all "camped out" nightly in
that living room just for the ambiance.
.
.
.
One thing I miss in Tucson is fireplaces. Nothing
like crackling wood for ultimate slumber.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
From that last statement, you've probably safely assumed
that I've been celibate for WAY too damn long.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I don't know what I'm laughing about.
.

5. Its just about over...don't worry!
I've had all the windows open here for the past couple days, and it was starting to feel like Fall.
So I guess Summer just needs to yap a bit longer, but it's almost gone :)
