2. I didn't know where it would go best.
Whenever I post in GD the mods kick me to a state or special interest forum. Apparently, our ideas of what is of general interest differ. Anyways, I was out riding around yesterday and passed by the mine site. I wasn't aware of the tragedy, and thought it should be shared. I didn't see your sign, it must have been in town.:hi:

(And thanks for not kicking my ass...this time...)

3. I never did understand coal mining. There's no romance, no thrill
to it, just black soot.
I'm going into another gold mine next month. That's my kind of mine. I suppose I could say the 'real' kind.
I'll take the risk.
Who ever came up with the idea, burn coal? I don't know. But also, who ever came up with the idea, hang gold all over your person (rings, earrings, necklaces, etc.)
100 years ago there were many many industrial accidents causing death. The numbers were outrageous. Today, due to regulation, it is much safer for the worker. But there will always be risks.
