all my life so florida and i havent heard it in use since the late 60's early 70's
but i did used to hear it

She uses a few phrases that are mostly regional so I thought that was one too. But Florida is pretty far from CT so maybe you're right that it just went out of use.

4. i lived as a child

in a florida made up almost entirely of people from everywhere else
in 1956 when i was born no one was here
by 1966 we had tubs of imports from everywhere so regional could still apply
my dad was at the cape so he worked and we socialized with everyone from all over
