Cat saves 97-year-old Woman's Life |
|
The woman was surrounded by several pit bills and her cat jumped in to save the day. Really cute cat, too. :-) http://www.upnorthlive.com/news/story.aspx?list=~\home\lists\search&id=502899

Sounds like a great story but the link is not working for me. Tried twice. Some other link? Maybe it's just me?

3. Nice story with no animal deaths |
|
Glad the woman was okay and the cat wasn't hurt. I feel sorry for the dogs, who obviously live with idiots who can't take care of them properly, which puts them and others at risk.

5. Yeah, isn't it great to hear an animal story like that for a change. |
|
Seems like most of the animal stories that make the news are stories that turn your stomach, or at least get you very angry.

Those dogs were not "playing" if they bit the old lady.
That doesn't mean they are horribly aggressive dogs, but it does mean that she needs to face reality and get those dogs some training... as well as plugging up the holes in the house where they get out (which is just beyond dumb).

13. Scorp? Do you know anything about cats? What would a cat do |
|
with a medal. They want balls with a bell in the center, or the cardboard roll from the center of the tp, or just thw whole roll of tp, preferably hanging on the wall holder. Not to mention catnip. dc

15. Scorp. Scorp. That's a good photo and all. But read the body |
|
language. Look at the facial expression. "Hey! Get that thing offa me!" Just after that photo was taken, he bit thru' the ribbon, the medal dropped off, and tabby walked away flinching his tail with disgust. dc

10. That is an amazing story |
|
In so many ways. Brave kitty, very fortunate elderly lady, and an owner of some potentially dangerous dogs who obviously cannot control them. Mind you, I don't fault the dogs - I firmly believe that any dog of any breed needs to be owned by someone who can control and maintain training of that particular dog, it's not the dog's responsibility to act as a dog will, it's instinct. The woman who doesn't keep her house in order deserved those fines, and I'm surprised that the dogs weren't confiscated, but maybe that's the way that laws are set up in that area.
Good kitty. I hope Tiger got some good nummies for that act of heroism, and glad s/he is safe too.

under the bed if I needed them. Gotta say, that woman is doing great for 97.
