I just bought a new monitor.
I had a 15" flat-screen, (going to keep it as a spare,) I had been saving up for a new one.

18.5" flat-screen.
Holy moley! What a difference!

1. Have fun!
Makes a huge difference. If you're using Windows, don't forget the smoothing font tool or whatever it's called if you're going full resolution.

3. Isn't Eyefinity limited to 3 monitors?
And I believe that one of them will need to be a display port compatible one. I've seen a 5770 that allows for more versatile monitor selection and some dual GPU cards which can support up to 6, but I believe most of ATI's GPUs are limited to 3 for the time being. Once it's up and running though, it's pretty hard to beat the visual impact of running a game at 5760x1200 across 3 monitors.

As for me, I've got an old school 24" Sony CRT and I'm going to keep the bad boy until it no longer functions. It seems kind of archaic in this day of crazy LCDs, but I'm hard pressed to find other monitors which aren't crazy expensive that matches its picture quality. CRT for life!

4. Crt? My gawd. And what do you mean monitors are crazy expensive.
They have fine one here for 100 to 150. Sometimes they throw one in free with a package, box, etc.

7. To get one with comparable quality to my CRT, it would be crazy expensive.
My Sony is a 24", I've seen a few 24" models from 150 to 200, but none have the quality/resolution of my monitor (which handles up to 2560x1600). The only LCDs that I've seen that match my Sony are in the $600+ range.

5. One of them is a display port.
I'm not quite sure how Eyefinity works but I believe the updated drivers will work with 4.
