It is time to give August a big goodbye.
Hello September.

It already feels a little better.

For those of you in Earl's way, take care and be safe.

GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

The last few days have been about as gorgeous as it gets here in Tucson
in the summer -- some moderate-to-heavy cloud cover and nice cooling
breezes.

.
We're probably due for a little more of a scorching -- but soon.

2. I can feel fall in the air here already.
It has been less humid for a few days, today wasn't bad at all.

6. I am fairly sure this was the coldest summer in L A that I ever knew
and I am old.
But then I was in Palm Springs for a lot of months, summer included in recent years.
This is the big holiday weekend coming up. I will go nowhere and do nothing. Too crowded. Other than maybe ride my bicycle out to the ocean and up and down thru' the beach cities on the strand.
That ought to be good holiday fun.
The last of the skimpy swim suits for the season. Some are too skimpy or maybe the wrong body for the suit. But, a guy has to try, even if he is old.

8. I'm not sorry to see August go.
My husband's Mom passed away on August 7th this year. The anniversary of my own Mum's death was August 23rd. I was laid off for 4 weeks ( back to work now).

All in all a rotten 8th month.

looking forward to September .

10. Thank gawd...
I'm so looking forward to cooler weather. This summer has been one long heat wave. This weekend it's going down to high 70's-low 80's. Can't wait to open up the house. So sick of a/c.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
