Did anyone see Rescue Me last night?

I have this odd feeling it was ALL another one of Tommy's dreams...just too surreal to be otherwise.

1. The whole series is one of Tommy's dreams.

That's the only explanation that makes sense.

2. I didn't really enjoy the episode--was a bit bored--then at the end I said, "Huh?"

What you say makes sense. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I love that show but hate it when they get weird. I like the day-to-day firehouse stuff and the family stuff but I get so sick of him seeing dead people every time he drinks. My boyfriend was getting annoyed with the show this year because it seemed that every episode centered around alcohol.

3. Here's My Theory on the Whole Series

Tommy actually died on 9/11, not his cousin. What we've seen in the series is how his life screwed up so many people. His family, Sheila, Sheila's kid, etc.

For the finale, Tommy is going to see that when he dies on 9/11, everyone in his family will be better off because of it.
