I have cherry pepper juice under my fingernails.
It burns! I have scrubbed to no avail, just have to wait it out. And make sure I don't rub my eyes anytime soon.

5. I had a friend who grew the world's hottest peppers.
And I got some of the juice in my eye. Felt like it was burning right through the membranes. After several hours of eye washing I could see there would be no lasting damage but damn it hurt!

I prefer habaneros, chile pequins and Thai bird peppers and others in the 50,000 Scoville range and up.

Edited on Fri Sep-03-10 01:17 PM by IcyPeas
I once did this cutting hot peppers and it was so bad for days - I ended up going to my doctor. I was told to use hydrocortisone.

and definitely don't touch your eyes or nose or other areas..... ;-)

(oops, I hope this isn't seen as giving medical advice - just something from personal experience)
