So I think I just got a job. Ironically, at a cosmetics company. |

Not quite the job at Sikorsky or DaVita I was hoping for. It's a rather strange place for a blue-collar factory worker to wind up at. I don't think machining-center operators generally go from shaping steel to wading through paperwork.
But my mom's friend's cosmetics company finally got some investment capital to expand in the US market, and when she heard I had prior office and computer experience she said "Okay, you're hired!"
I don't know when I'll start, I don't know where I'll be working, and I don't know what I'll be doing, but I think I have a job. :-)
Which is quite nice, because I had to quit my job at the end of June and move back to Connecticut with my son. I've been working around the house since then, but unemployed otherwise.
:woohoo:

I'm originally from Hartford and I'm trying to move back to no avail. I'd settle for NYC. I just want out of DC.

Oh, well, at least my town has really good schools. My kid just started kindergarden. :-)
