some place where the sun doesn't shine..its painful as hell, :grr: and I can't get to the drug store till tomorrow morning. I read somewhere that putting a slice of bacon over it, will bring it to a head. Any other home remedies to get rid of it?...

or epsom salt soak

be sure to clean well with soap and water after it ruptures (neosporin on bandaid for a day or two is good)

especially if you use the bacon ;)

(the principle involved is osmosis - the salt helps draw the boil to the surface because of the differences in osmotic pressure so there is a real basis to the folk remedy, not to mention the animal fat is soothing to the skin in general)

That's what a doctor recommended to me when I had a boil -- ahem -- in my nether regions. The epsom and the warmth serve to both shrink the boil and to give pain relief. Let nature take its course and if it needs to be lanced, let a professional do it.
