What's the best (internet) place to buy music CDs?

I'm not so much thinking about price (though that's one minor factor) but social responsibility. Because that's my number one consideration, I'm willing to pay some more if need be, to support the full price of a fair trade transaction.

Staying away from credit cards by using paypal is also a plus. I usually buy, if it matters, a mix of adult pop and alternative, such as Michael Franti's "Sound of Sunshine", albums by Sting, etc. Thanks for any feedback you may have.

to check the artist's website first. If they are selling direct or have a store set up for them, that is the best way to go. More of the money goes to the artist. Then I look at CDBaby, and if not there then Amazon.
