Two of my former teachers were stabbed by their son, one is dead |

http://www.projo.com/news/content/TIVERTON_MURDER_STABBINGS_09-06-10_JBJQ41G_v17.23802a5.htmlI'm just shocked right now. They are both nice folks, and the Misses was one of my favorite teachers.

I'm so sorry. I was horrified by that story. Do you know anything about the son?

5. He was about five years behind me in school |
|
So, no I didn't know much about him other than he played soccer and some other sports by reading the local papers after I left. Their daughter was a year behind me.
Anyone who went to school here in Tiverton in the last 30 years pretty much had one or both of them. Mr. Beaulieu was a very nice man (maybe not the best classroom teacher, I had the misfortune of being in the "slow group" when I took his class and he didn't really challenge us too much) and his wife who we called "Madame" is a very good teacher and a nice person. The two of them arranged chaperoned field trips to Europe for the kids over spring vacation. They really went out of their way for that. I was never very good at French, but somehow I got through it mainly because she was such a good teacher and really cared. I remember she was disappointed I didn't take a fourth year in high school but I was very honest that I simply couldn't hang with those that had taken three years of honors French when I had taken three on the college prep level.

6. They sound like terrific people. |
|
The whole thing is so sad. And when I hear a story like that. (I always wonder wtf the story was with the perpetrator.) I've been to Tiverton but don't really know anything about it. My friend's mother lives there, but she didn't move there until after she'd retired. (She has relatives there, and I believe they're all elderly too.)

The couple sounds like they were/are very nice people, this seems inexplicable.
I'm sorry for your loss, and the loss to the community.
