These incredible poetry performances
aren't getting any love in the appropriate forums. I posted in Pro-Choice and Women's Rights because those are the topics, but I guess those are some slow forums, so for the edification of the Lounge here they are (I don't do GD.):

2. WOW!!!!!
.
.
.
I wish I could see those in written form.
.
.
.
The first one was an incredible mixture of pacing and imagery (though it
seemed to fall apart a LITTLE towards the last minute or so).
.
.
.
Same with the second with no stumbling at the end.
.
.
.
Very talented. Very powerful.
.
.
.
Incredible emotion AND reason without the stridency or selfrighteousness
to which socio-political poetry can all-too-often fall prey.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Maybe the reason I wrote so few angry, tortured poems is that I've never
been able to speak THAT well... THAT quickly.
.
.
.
That name seems very familiar. Is she well-published?
.
.
.

3. I don't know really.
I was just turned on to her recently. She lives here in OK. Not much of a website, so not much info.

I'd love to be able to do what she does so well, too. She just puts it out there without a whole lot of anger.

10. Thanks kiddo...I appreciate when someone shares intersting things
and yes, we are making progress on our organic-ness :) Second year alfalfa and timothy fields hay only are looking good, we are purchasing bees in the spring (I have been in class and mentoring for the last 6 months. The pumpkins are suffering from the heat and dry this year though

13. Hey you!
I was just thinking of you the other day. Was going to sit down soon and send you a PM to see how things are going. This hasn't been a good year for gourds that's for sure. :hi:

17. it has been a BEAUTIFUL year for Ohio peaches
I have never seen them rival Georgia, and this year they did. Big, juicy beautiful ones!

The apple crop is EARLY by about 4 weeks, but they are georgous too.

Gourd and pumpkins, they will short life unless you keep them in a shadier spot, and they will be pricey (and they are EARLY too)

16. She's wonderful! Here's one of my very favorite poets, Kurt Lamkin
I go to quite a few poetry festivals and events and Kurtis is one of the best and kindest performers I know. He often accompanies himself on a kora, an African stringed instrument, but I don't find good Youtubes of him performing with it.
