1. Isn't cold meat the same as luncheon meat or cold cuts?

I get laughed at sometimes when I say cold meat.

5. Who uses "spendy" for "expensive"?
Apparently it is an Upper-Midwestern regionalism.

6. That's interesting, Odin...
I never heard that here in the Northeast.

Some of the Brits say that something is "dear" when it is expensive.

8. I like "sodie" for soft drinks.
The only place I ever hear "sodie" is Southern Illinois.

10. Down south, especially in Texas, *any* soft drink is a "Coke".
As in, "What kind of Coke would you like with that?"

9. ELP- Benny the Bouncer

"Now sidney was a greaser with some nasty roots
He poured a pint of guinness over benny's boots
Benny looked at sidney:
Sidney stared right back in his eye.
Sidney chose a switchblade
And benny got a cold meat pie.
Oh! what a terrible sight,
Much to the people's delight.
One hell of a fight. "
