2. I'd eat rocks if they had sugar on them
but I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot fork. Bleh.

3. I'm saving my calories for the deep fried frito pie that they'll be serving at...
my state's fair later this month.

They'll also have fried beer.

11. I haven't read a story that really describes the process yet, but...
apparently the beer is inside of little ravioli-like pouch of bread that ends up very similar to a pretzel in texture and taste.

The creators are being very secretive about the whole thing.

7. I hear fried twinkies are actually not that good
Last weekend I tried the fried bacon at the state fair. Nowhere near worth the ridiculous cost, one piece of ok breading with soft noncrispy bacon inside. I also tried the fried snickers. Better, but the breading was thick and soggy, like on a corn dog. With a crisp thinner breading, thinking more tempura like, it coulda been pretty good. Wrap that In bacon, and I'd give er a try.

12. My Fair indulgence is the good old fashioned funnel cake
No amount of additional sugar, fat or deep frying can top that, IMO.

13. I had a deep fried Milky Way last year
that was sweet enough and I'm pretty sure I lost a couple days at the end of my life as a result of eating that.

14. I'm not afraid to admit that I still like lots of bad-for-you foods
but this combo looks and probably tastes disgusting. Not to mention bizarre...
