woohoo, I have an interview tomorrow!
It is with Grassroots Campaigns Inc., working on behalf of the ACLU to work against those who discriminate against people because of their sexual orientation, ban abortion, limit birth control and teach religious doctrine instead of science in public schools. The position I'm applying for is a field manager out of their Boston office (but I'll clean the garbage cans if thats what they offer). The pay is not great... or even good but it's a job and one I can do with some zest for the goals :D

6. Good Luck!!
My first job out of college was that sort of a gig, except the organization was PIRG. It wasn't right for me, but you might love it. It's a lot of talking to people and a lot of time on your feet, long hours too. Wear nice shoes to the interview but once you start working, make sure you've got a good pair of sneakers that you're comfortable in. Generally, the field management people also canvass and perform in-situ training of new canvassers.

You'll do great.
