This is what I think is passion.

Passion is focused intensity, it can be with many other emotions or actions.

Spock Scene. The needs of the many.

2. "Passion" is like pornography, as a Supreme Court Justice famously said
(I'm paraphrasing here): "I can't define it, but I know it when I see it."

3. 1:24 "To the last I will grapple with thee."
Positively my favorite line in the movie.

4. It is really bad, they left out part of the quote in that clip.
Edited on Fri Sep-10-10 09:19 PM by RandomThoughts
Kahn represented anarchy, and some other things, like genetic purity, and claims of superiority.

The quote is from Moby Dick.

Khan: (quoting from Melville's Moby Dick) To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!

That is not something I believe in. But you can see it in many hearts, it is sad and nihilistic.

I like Kirk and Spock's lines in that clip.

I like the way that Spock does something difficult then after shows love, and V hand motion, same thing on Kirk's sideburns.

I always liked that thought.

Also why to play the Breathe love song instead of thinking on his thoughts, love is a much better thought.

5. Nihilistic, I suppose. But it is so indelibly human.
The wish to inflict great harm on those who have harmed us greatly is an important aspect of who we are. The pain, the rage and the desire to extract vengeance, or some measure of justice ...

70x7 doesn't come to most people easily, and to others not at all.

6. Only if you are willing to destroy yourself.
Something most don't do, something I don't do either.

And I am not sure how much it will take to correct things, but they will be corrected.
