Saw The Zombies and Argent tonight. Colin Blunstone is a Giant. What a voice.
Saw him and Rod Argent and of course Jim Rodford tonight in Rockville, MD with great seats for a lousy 25 bucks, and I have seen concerts with 10 times the price and one half the value.

Great to see many young folks there, and they loved it. Sure, they played the old stuff (links follow), but the new stuff was great. Colin is one of the great underrated voices in rock music.

I was blown away. I will be 59 next Tuesday, so I remember. It's the Time of the Season.

3. "Hold Your Head Up"...
...one of those songs that cannot be covered by anyone. Period.

Fish (former lead singer of Marillion) has a cover version of it on one of his albums. Nice and well-intentioned, but there i something about the Argent original that can't be duplicated. It's also one of those songs that must be heard in its 6-minute album incarnation...no "edited single" version can satisfy.

9. I absolutely loved Hold Your Head Up.
haven't thought of that song for years now.

Remember it was used for background music on a beer ad ages ago.

5. Please help a Zombie-loving, underinformed fan:
Other than Tell Her No, Time of the Season, and She's Not There, which Zombies tracks are absolute must-haves for my collection?

I loved their near-jazzy sound - great drums and keyboards and good lyrics.

They are still underrated.

7. Colin Blunstone also sang with the Alan Parsons Project. And beautifully, like here.

We go to concerts in Maryland sometimes and I saw this on the upcoming shows! We've got too many other things going on though, we could only afford so many shows this year and I was the only one who wanted to see this one :(((

I'm glad you had a good time!! :headbang:
