7. How do you do a search for someone, please? I know I could type their name in the DU search

box, but will that show the most recent post? Doesn't seem to work that way for me.

I just copied and pasted the search function you should use:


Or search using the DU search function (Donors only):
DU Search Simple Search | Advanced Search

Click on Simple Search, and follow the directions. You need to click on author instead of "subject/message"...you get a menu when you click on that.

I generally use the last 24 hours for the time interval. And if you search from the home page, or the latest discussion thread page, you can search ALL the forums. That choice will show you every forum in the place that your friend has posted in during the last 24 hours.

And of course, you can search for longer intervals. Again, a menu shows up when you click on the time/interval place.

9. The Google search within the site

The site option of Google within DU. But the couple of times I've used it the results are, like, all over the place, anywhere the name/handle was mentioned, threads going back months/(years?).

But, specifically, the wonderful Catwoman was a Mod in (LBN?) so might be too busy to post much?
