Anyone ever watch that show hoarders on A & E?
Holy crap! I just ran across it a few weeks ago. Oddly compelling and strangely sad.

1. My MIL could be featured on that show.
There is no way to describe seeing a hoarder's home in person. The smell is what hits you first and then the inability to move among all the junk. You want to get out and get out fast, and then wash your clothes and take a shower. And yes, you really wonder how anyone sane could stand living that way.

4. I watch the series in horror, I am the anti-hoarder
I toss stuff out all the time, I hate clutter and modern minimalist is my decor of choice.

6. My dream is a home that looks like a museum.
One piece of furniture per room is sufficient. Everything else goes in the closet.

I feel sorry for the people that have that disorder.

9. That shit is fucked up.
One time I saw an episode where they had a woman who had multiple refrigerators - all full. And one of them had a drawer that had 3 inches thick of expired meat juice. And it had solidified. :puke:

13. Another one I saw...
They tore out the kids' playhouse right in front of them because it was being used to cover up a huge pile of trash.

12. If you have a hoarder relative, cheer up.
It runs in families.
