At 31-years-of age I still often find myself in situations where we're "leaving before the cops gets here." And such. Does this not stop until you get married and haev kids?
My Dad was 34 when I was born, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't putting up with such things. Though I DO remember, when I was very young, my mom would wake my sister and I up to go pick Dad up from the bar on Saturday nights. However, the fact his wife and two kids were picking him up from the bar at midnight tells me he wasn't out running from the police.
I also remember how playful he was with us on the car-ride home...drunk dad..drunk dad....Then I'd get a big kiss on the forehead goodnight that I always hated cause it smelled like beer.

2. Well, my ancient Canadian friend - isn't 'the cops showing up' a big part of living in China? |
|
Perhaps it's geographic more than age-related. :hi:

Trying to get out of it. I know guys in their mid 30s who's been here 10 years and still behave as if they're 25. Actually, being here is great if you're a foreinger, cause the cops leave you alone unless you're causing obvious trouble, like vandalism and such.

I'm 30 now but a few weeks after my 30th birthday I came to surmise I might have a drinking issue that I'd prefer not become a "problem" so I started drinking less. I quit drinking in March. I had started weening out of the bar culture about 6 months before all that...I wasn't into it anymore. I'm a skirt-chaser, it's easier when I'm sober, the atmosphere is quieter and there are less drunken assholes stumbling around.

8. slowed down quite a bit around 35... |
|
but still tends to happen every year or two at 45.
It only happens with a very small select group of friends, so it is relatively easy to avoid if I want. :)

10. 31 is NOT old to still be running the old run. I was older than that when |

I had my first kid.

preachy here, but that's the stone cold truth.
