Found two lost classics tonight . . . thank you YouTube.
Lake - Time Bomb (kind of Yes/Supertramp sounding German group; song came out in 1976, but got regionally popular here around 1978-9)

Geoff Hughes - Happy Birthday Kid (I thought I lost this song forever. Nothing in my old lyric searches came up, until yesterday and I finally found out who sang this song. It all fits - 1981 Canadian single, was popular on CKLW (Windsor, Ontario), which we got in the Cleveland area. I heard it all through 1981, then never heard it again, but always remembered it's melody and lyrics.)
