I do see the split down the center of the bun (for what that's worth) and it does appear to have the same ingredients, though I don't think I'll ever see any fast food place really pile on the greens. Also, this has to be the thinnest-sliced bacon I have ever seen in my life. Seriously, up close it was actually transparent.

1. Ad v reality is really just Shit v Shit.
I know I stand alone, but I really cannot imagine any intelligent human being, by choice, putting that shit in their body.

3. It's sad but it happens.
Personally, I won't allow that shit in my house.

4. I'm shocked, SHOCKED that an advertisement would be misleading
Thank goodness we have HuffPost to bring us these stories, along with celebrity gossip and pseudoscience nonsense.

5. Why the hell are people always attacking HuffPo?
HuffPo is close to the best one-stop website for uncritical praise of pseudoscience. And without them, I would never have learned of Snooki.

What a sad and desolate existence that would have been.

10. Well, I do get all of my vaccine information from HuffPo and Oprah
After all, they're the real experts, not those shill scientists cashing in big bucks from Big Pharma and the Super Secret Evil Government Conspiracy That Totally Exists, Honest.

9. Remember when Campbell's soup was caught putting marbles
under the vegetables in their soup ads to make it seem like there was more? I thought this was against the law.

12. Now they have to put a diclaimer...
...in the very, very fine prints:

(not food but whatever, it's as fake)

See the fine prints ? No ? Here's a close up:

Still hard to read. It says: "Lash inserts were applied to add lash count to Drew’s lashes before applying LashBlast Fusion mascara."

13. They did more than mess with her "lash count"...
...I recently saw a full Web tutorial on evening out skin tones, etc. in Photoshop. They worked on her lashes and then on the rest of her. She doesn't look like that at all.

Very, very eye-opening. Not even supermodels look like supermodels.

16. No, it was a step-by-step online Photoshop tutorial, not in video format
...similar in content, though. It saddens me that, as a society, we find this to be necessary. I genuinely love some genuinely "imperfect" women in my life.

And for the record, I'm not perfect, either. Damn close...just not "perfect."

:spray:

11. There sure is a huge gap between the food in the ad and on the plate
(especially when the ad food is plastic) and it must verge into false advertising at some point. Although in this case the 'real' burger doesn't look too egregious to me, except for the thin bacon travesty.

I wonder if we're seeing the beginning of a pushback against fluffed-up photo-ready model-food; I think I saw a pizza commercial recently where they were touting the fact that the pies in the ad actually went out the door to customers. However, I really wish they'd start the reality blitz with beer ads - I'm sick of being promised a bevy of hotties that never actually appear...

14. I haven't set foot in a Burger King in over a year...
...I get the sense I'm not missing much.

Personally, I would have my local BK leveled and replaced with a Sonic.
