My poem from the open mic tonight: Slide

the cards slide into place
the way your hands slide over me
first one then another taking me home
what a great game life is
winning here is sweet
we play for high stakes
nothing less than whole hearts will do
we give them into each others’ hands
never holding back

The word slide refers to a game of electronic Solitaire I was playing one night...watching the cards slide inspired me.
