Wavy Gravy was that commune leader who showed up in the movie "Woodstock," he was there with his people to serve food and help out.

Whatever happened to that wild bus he drove?

3. That photo is of FURTHER which...
...is NOT Wavys bus. The Hog Farm commune (where I was born) has many buses. But the Further bus posted above is a Merry Prankster bus, not a Hog Farm bus. Just FYI.

11. More info...
To add more info here... There was no bus that belonged 'to' Wavy. Our commune had a lot of buses. The most prominent one was called the ASP (because of the license plate). The ASP was also known as the "NOBODY BUS" because it had "NOBODY FOR PRESIDENT" on the side. And yes, this bush still resides on our property in northern CA. I hope that helps.

Also Wavy can be found on facebook. Hit him up.

12. There are two FURTHUR busses...
Edited on Tue Sep-21-10 01:17 PM by Bennyboy
The old one that rests at Kesey's farm in Oregon and this one:

When Kesey tried to take this bus to the Smithsonian, they told him they did not want it, they wanted the original. Which has been sitting and rusting since the early 70's and could not be rebuilt..The newer one that Zane drives to shows selling Kesey memorabilia.

They stripped that bus and repainted it over the last month or so...

I was just at Earthdance, a festival that happens on Wavy's (Camp Winnarainbow) ranch, the Black Oak Ranch. As always a very enlightening experience. Wavy did a hilarious playshop and did some MC'ing. He looks good, better than last year I think. Seen him a lot more too this summer.
SEVA foundation is incredible and has given sight to millions of people.

16. Very sad indeed... I have been to most of them
and the Pig Nikcs, and The Eel shows etc.

In fact one of my most cherished moment of my life happened right there in 95....

Never anything like that place, that event. I will surely miss my yearly trips to Endor...The whole earthy vibe there will not be duplicated for sure. And the event that replaces it (gaia) is the same weekend that Phish always plays the Bay Area so it is unlikely I will return to the BOR again. Very sad, that.
