All drugs should be.

All religion shouldn't be.

1. guns... cause more trouble than they solve IMHO
I don't agree that religion should be illegal. People are entitled to believe what they like, as long as they don't foist it on others...

5. Guns don't kill people, religion kills people.
Come to think of it, religion is a drug so I guess it should be legal.

Well, guns in the hands of folks who don't really get what religion was supposed to be about. Oh well. YMMV...

10. Trust me, religion causes more trouble then firearms.
But neither should be illegal.

The vast part of human history is still pre-firearm.

But the Crusades, the Mongol invasions, various Chinese wars, Tamerlane, it's an open question.

25. but that is the "organized" part.
they organize for the purpose of foisting it on others.

religion is the cancer to rational society. there is absolutely no reason for it, and it should be educated out of society.

from "south pacific", 'you've got to be carefully taught'.

(under all the "good" window dressing, the bottom line is...)

You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!

2. All religion(s)?
You mean that only your faith/belief that all religion(s) are bad should be worshiped?

And I agree with tigereye about guns. Way too many out there, and you rarely hear of headlines like 'Nine dead in knife fight ...'

11. I have no problem outlawing private autos
so long as we replace them with the "automated roadway". Either think Firesign Theater or old futuristic depictions, but basically take the control of the vehicle out of the hands of those that are anywhere mentally but behind the wheel. Also, the automated roadways of the book "A Canticle for Liebowitz" come to mind as an example.

We have the technology; we just have to implement it :)

28. I'm always amazed at how drugs are taken of free will and don't hurt bystanders
Yet aren't legal. But guns, designed to hurt someone else, are legal. And because drugs, which only harm the user, are illegal and criminals deal in them, they can by the LEGAL guns to shoot other drug dealers and accidental victims.

It's so damn stupid
