What could be the trouble, like back to dial-up, with interminable buffering on YouTube links?

What could be the trouble, like back to dial-up, with interminable buffering on YouTube links?
Edited on Sat Sep-18-10 09:07 PM by UTUSN
I went for years on dialup, skipping the vids because of this. Then finally got DSL and thought problems were over. Lately, can't remember when I've been able to run something without having to toss it.

This one was particularly frustrating, since the self-important dweeb kept promising a HUGH!1 tip/secret involving Gold Bond baby power for getting rid of "watermarks" or air bubbles in cell phone screen protectors, and his danged video was TEN minutes long and it kept buffering. One of the comments said he could have done the tip in 30 seconds. Never got to see past the first minute and a half with so much buffering.

Will somebody try this link and determine whether it works or whether something in my machine or connection is the problem, please? Thanks.

1. I'm on goddam Comcast.
and I've been getting 'The connection was reset' (since I've gone to windows 7 as an added factor) lately, and
yet I got your link going on the first click.

I dunno. The internet sucks.

2. I've had the same problem, and we have FIOS!
Very aggravating.

VERY.

No idea what's causing it. Oh, and I have Windows 7 as well. This buffering just started a week or so ago...

3. I'm on dial up.
I VERY rarely try a ten minute video, but the way I have to load them is start it with the sound off and when it finishes (a 10 minute for me would be 3 or 4 hours - providing the connection held gotta start over if the line drops) then I can play them over with "replay" and they work fine.
