If it really happens this could actually be GOOD (this from someone who loathes remakes in all shapes and sizes).

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six!
Um...and just who is this J. Michael Straczynski? Tell me! Should I know him? I mean, of him?

Oh, and hey, it's good to see you tonight, sweetie!

:hi:

6. Sorry, I've been in a lot of pain lately.
Even now I'm fighting foot cramps and a knee that keeps swelling up with fluid.

I feel like the Tin Man before Dorothy found his oil can...

4. I've known about this for at least a year
because there was some controversy about a year ago. Seems that someone leaked his first script to the Internet. He was so pissed that he told everyone that redistributed it off and announced he and his writing partner would rewrite it and no one would know anything about it until the movie comes out.

Good for him!
Although sometimes a leaked script is a good thing (like whatshisname's movie "The Happening") I'd like to see the spoiler-brigade learn some patience for once. Maybe they'll learn a small lesson from this, but I won't be holding my breath on that ;)

As for the remaking of "Forbidden Planet" I am also looking forward to it as JMS is a brilliant science-fiction writer, at least for the visual media, like film and TV. My only qualm about this project is what we will get for "music". I really don't want standard Hollywood orchestral music. I want electronic tonalities like in the original :D

9. The Barrons used theramin-like equipment in the original soundtrack.
Edited on Sun Sep-19-10 12:06 PM by kentauros
They had to build all of it themselves because there were no synthesizers back then. I know they were striving for an "organic" sound, as in what organic life might create musically :)

Great cuts, by the way!

Here's a band I like that uses the theramin as one of their primary instruments: Seksu Roba

Telstar (mp3-link)

7. F*#&ing Awesome!
Bab 5 was one of the best sci-fi efforts I've ever seen! I can only imagine what he'll do with this. Finally, some good sci-fi coming down the pike. (I think that's the only time I've used the phrase, "coming down the pike." I don't even know what a pike is, lol)
