Update on my son and a humble request for good vibes, etc.

So many of you here responded with such kindness and compassion that I want to update everyone on what's happening with my son and his ankylosing spondylitis.

He was turned down for the second time by Social Security Disability, and we have put his case in the hands of a competent attorney. Incidentally, I felt like we got as much of the run-around treatment and insolent attitude from Gabrielle Gifford's constituent services person as we did from the Social Security people. It really turned me off but I'll still vote for her because the alternative candidate is a one-man clusterfuck.

Anyway, my son is now qualified for Medicaid, and he will be undergoing the first of his two hip replacement surgeries, one month from today. Then, after the surgeries, he'll receive enough doses of x-ray radiation to, hopefully, stop the disease from tearing down and calcifying his new joints.

So, for anyone who wants to send prayers, healing light, and good energy his way, please know that it is all gratefully accepted by both of us.
