People with names that make you giggle |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-20-10 05:32 PM by Bucky
The ROTC teacher at my school is named Major Glutz, which is not pronounced to rhyme with "cuts". She seems like a nice lady, but I just can't bring myself to address her by name. Perhaps I just have a dirty mind, but the first thing I noticed the day I met her (she was in uniform) that her glutes, while not necessarily major, certainly were worthy of saluting. My father has a former colleague (he's now retired) who was named Seymore Cox. Seymore's passed away, but for a long time he was a well respected leader in the Social Work community. Of course this is in Houston, home town of Governor Hogg's lovely daughter.

The first was a girlfriend of my favorite uncle...
The second was the wife of my Sunday School youth group leader. She once told us that the hardest part about accepting his marriage proposal was not the fact that he was a cop, and on the vice unit that dealt with gang crime... it was the name change, and becoming Mary Christmas.

Also, there's this guy we knew just 7 or 8 miles out of town named 'Elfin' (not a nickname!). I think he's in a nursing home now, but I can remember seing him driving his tractor by our home at least 3 or 4 times a week to get nore boooze. It HAD to be slow goin.
Lots of wierd names around here too.. i could go ono and on, but lucky for you guys.... I won't! ;-)

Not a bad politician IMO, but the name's a bit unfortunate.

Some of the worst names are of places rather than people; e.g. there is a street in Oxford called Crotch Crescent.
