1. I really like your posts Orrex.
Edited on Mon Sep-20-10 08:38 PM by RandomThoughts
You been posting around here for years, and have had some great posts.

Learned some things, and some posts have given things to think about, so I really would not feel like arguing with you.

I think your posts are thoughtful and with feeling :)

7. Ok, so I do have a life, but damn have you seen True Blood?
I mean it is good. And by good I totally mean awesome. And if you like eye candy, well there is enough for everyone. But really, it is just a good show. But all that sparkly stuff, nah, I'll pass. Sorry Mrs. Patz.

20. My vampire doesn't sparkle, she's just scary.
Really. watch Let The Right One In. An innocent-looking eternally-10-year-old vampire covered in other people's blood should not be the thing of your nightmares. The book is even better though it's possibly a bit too much for some people. Not graphic as much as uncomfortable.

37. When I was in daycare...
around the age of four or five, the head teacher of my daycare was a great big Jamaican woman named Miss Louise who used to hug *everybody* (and I do mean everybody), called our parents "Chil'e" and used to frequently smell like "me herbs" as she put it.

I loved growing up in an inner-city Carib community. The flavors of my childhood are tamarind, allspice and cinnamon...oh and goat. I got funny looks when I got to Kindergarten and I was the weird kid who ate goats and had never had a hot-dog.

I have this great idea for a combination facility offering psychiatric help and rehabilitation services to sex offenders, a methadone clinic and a daycare. I think I shall go ask GD for conceptual input.

33. Heh!
C'mon, the first one was the exact same formula that approximately 7,307 slasher movies had already used. Take a group of people, put them in an isolated spot, and then pick them off one by one in amusing and bloody fashion, until the last person is left alive, whereupon the killer/creature, who up until this point has been oh so sneaky and careful, suddenly abandons all pretense of sneakiness, letting hubris rule the day, and ends up being killed by the lone survivor.

It may be new to non-horror fans (such as they are), but any die-hard horror fan should have seen Predator unfolding exactly as it did 5 minutes into the movie.

There, I said it! :D

the closest attempt we have in this thread is over which Predator movie is better, but everyone knows they both suck.

I'm terribly disappointed.
