MST3K ConventioCon ExpoFest-A-Rama 2: Electric Bugaloo

Here are some pictures I took at the '96 MST3K Convention in Minneapolis. It was the best fun!

The first pic was taken during a tour of the MST studio. The rest were taken on the way to the Costume Ball and at the beginning of the Costume Ball.

MST fans will probably recognize the characters. Some of them had a terrible time trying to squeeze into the elevator. Gamera's shell weighed a ton, so he got hot and tired pretty fast.

I especially like the "Crawling Eye" one. I've been watching alot of old MST3K's on Netflix. Still very funny.

6. Some of the costumes were fabulous. Mine

was Melting Man's Ear Stuck On a Tree. I wore fake greenery on my head with a rubber ear that I'd glopped and drizzled with glue to make it look like it was melting. I got compliments on it, including from Trace!

But I have every episode that still exists, so I can relive it :D

Some episodes are on You Tube, and I like watching MST there too.

I wish I had taken more (and better) pictures. The studio tour was fascinating.

5. Cinematic Titanic is coming to my area in October

Saw them last year in Boston. It's definitely worth it.

8. i would like to see them live

though I think that they're pretty bad on tv/video/whatever. Rifftrax blows them away, on that one. I think it's because they can have, what, six people commenting at once? It gets too complicated.

way to Minneapolis hoping to meet him at the convention, but he wasn't there! :-(

13. He did a lot of stand up locally, especially in the 90s

I saw him a couple of times in local comedy clubs.
