Way-ale day-yum! I may have to throw all my Macs in the trash! |
|
I am lookin at the purdiest 4-socket barebones server kit for $2K! Another $4K would fill it with cpus, and I could probably spend another $20K on dimm sticks. And then I would be sittin up in the king of the catbirds seat with nearly 50 cores and more than 500gb ram, ready to multitask like one meancrazy mofo!
Bwaaahaaahaaa! Does Mac has anything comparable? Nooooooo .....
Unfortunately, I only have two seven oz beers in the house, and the state store is closed this time of night. Frankly, I don't think I could whip out the credit card and start buying all this expensive crap I don't need without being drunker than I've been in the last forty years
Well, maybe tomorrow ....

5. You remember it had a program in one of the books that came with it. |
|
It was a picture of a Baby. I got the brillant idea that I could make the Baby crawl. After spending (I think) days on the program, I got it to work. Took about an hour to move 3 steps!

2. What would you use it for? |
|
I mean, not that I wouldn't buy it, if I had the money extra, cause I would. I do still have my manhood to protect here. But, really, what sort of practical use would one have for such an item?
Also, who sells a 7 oz beer?

You can get Heineken in 0.207 liter bottles: that's about 7 oz. I go through a six pack every two or three weeks. I used to see another Dutch beer in 4 or 5 oz cans, but not in the US: I'd buy that size if I could

as I said, I would do it. Then I would bend it to such feats as watching 4 episodes of online TV at the same time, all while playing solitare and surfing DU with about 70 open tabs. And then I would end up depressed at how long it took my internet connection to load, thus rendering the whole process useless.
But I bet the Solitare would just FLY.
Oh... I have an old dos game that still works on newer computers. A missile command type game. Only each newer CPU makes it play faster. On my old p4, it was so fast it nuked you in about 2 seconds. I can only imagine how fast your hypothetical system would kill ya.

10. I used to surf DU with 70 open tabs on a dual quad core machine with 8 gb ram and dialup internet |
|
With 48 cores and half a terabyte of memory, I could surf DU with 25000 open tabs!
