1. I like odd varietals like Cab Franc and Mourvedre.

Both are grapes usually employed in blends.

2. I only had ten choices. I haven't tried either of those but will look for them now.
Wine is good. I like wine. I like fruit. I like cheese. A large cutting board with cheese slices/wedges on one side and fruit on the other is a nice compliment to a bottle of wine and some candles, and well, yes - nookie.

17. I have had some good Meritage wines
I like reds, but am not partial to any particular variety. But, I do enjoy trying the less common varietals, too, like Malbec, Grenache, Meritage--when I can find them at an affordable price.

3. A bottle of red that costs at least $15 + cheese and bread = supper.
And then sex.

5. Or sex first and then the wine, cheese, and bread for breakfast (because you'll pass out).
We have a small fridge in the bedroom. I highly recommend it.

4. I like cabs, merlot and shiraz (and some blends) for regular fall evenings
as for whites - real Riesling FROM the Rheingau - yum - I had the chance to get spoiled there and don't really care for American versions

Chardonnay smells and tastes like cat pee

7. Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve is rather fine, but otherwise I'll agree with you.
That's the only Chardonnay I actually like. Their merlot is pretty damn good too, but don't serve it chilled.

11. I only drink Pinot Grigio
It is a dry white wine. I'm fussy with Pinot Grigio though - I have thrown many wines away because they are too sweet.

15. I love Merlot. I remember how insulted I was when the two male characters
in "Sideways" insulted girls who like Merlot. LOL!

16. Anything, anytime -- with or without dinner...
though keep in mind most wine is better when paired with food.
