Who can translate German?
This one is going over my head. I think "meat imports" is suppose to be a cue, but the guy is too old for something that lame to cause that much laughter.

1. It's mostly because he reads one of these documents about

meat imports and taxes that are written by bureaucrats in their language, so the text itself sounds quite bizarre ...

Second time this happened in the Swiss parliament. This one's about some strange question asked about tax deductions on different horses:

6. He quite looks that way,
where everything would have cracked him up. ;) He really can't hold it when he has to say 'Bündnerfleisch,' which is a somewhat regional beef jerky here.

8. It's not really a joke,
just the bureaucratic language. He answers a question about tax classifications of spiced meat. Nothing funny at all, he just cracks up and loses it really when he has to read the word 'Bündnerfleisch,' which is regional beef jerky.

15. My older sister
unfortunately she is not here.

She studied in Germany for a year to immerse in the language. I think of myself as a geek but I must admit she out geeks me.
