A little Friday Stumper: What ties these three songs together?

Ashes refers to Space Oddity
Elected refers to School's Out
AYNIL refers to Yesterday and She Loves You

And they had a contest where they'd play 3 songs and you'd have to guess what they had in common.
Haven't done that for a while.

4. Station here on the other coast does the same thing

But they get a little advantage in that the three songs they pick can all have something in common in the title (e.g. one word titles or mention of a particular name), whereas just listing the songs is a little trickier.

Having just typed that, though, I thought of a little stumper for next week. Heh, heh, heh.
