Nice run there Rockies....
But I think it all came crashing down tonight. 2-0 Gigantes. Timmy pitches a 2 hitter.... MLB record for a staff allowing 2 runs or less for about a billion innings...

5. What are juiced balls?
There was a story the other day about the humidore balls in, I think, Arizona. But juiced? What's that? Spitballs?

6. Humidor balls in CO..
And the Rockies control them with no oversight.

Humidor balls are put in there to keep them from flying out of the park at a record rate. But the Rocks control the flow of balls during the game and (it has been suggested many times) that they also throw un humidor balls in, only when the Rockies are batting.

It is way cooler to call the un humidor balls, "juiced", Cuz "F*cking un humidor ball" just doesn't quite cut it.

7. So "juiced" means wet?
So balls are kept in the humidor to keep them ... wet or dry? Which fly better?

Until a few days ago I never knew this was even an issue. And now seeing Rockies home vs away scores, it sort of does look like something is up.

9. What physical properties of the ball does the humidore affect?
And how does that influence how far a ball can fly?

10. Makes them a bit softer I think...
Whereas the Mile High altitude makes them harder than usual. So the humidor softens them back to the way they should be.http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/giants/detail?entry_id=73157

2. Score was 2-1
I think the Rock Show is out of it myself. They only got a 1.1% chance of making the post-season.

3. My partner is a diehard rockies fan
he is pretty depressed himself. He is also an MLB fan so he will still watch the games until the season ends.
